Pixar's Toy Story will be seen in glorious 3-D the world over starting October 2nd of next year and likewise, Toy Story 2 will be given the same treatment on February 12th, 2010. This is all part of a lead up to the brand new 3-D release of Toy Story 3, which will hit theaters on June 18th, 2010. John Lasseter will oversee the 3-D-ification of his landmark CG-animated films while Lee Unkrich will take over the directorial duties on the threequel. Still a good ways off, but you may as well mark it off on that calendar that hasn't been printed yet.
It's looking more and more like 3-D is the way of the future, for better or worse (TBD).
