The primary villain in the forthcoming G.I. Joe movie has been cast. Irish theater actor David Murray will wear the steel head of Destro in Stephen Sommers's nostalgia-fueled future blockbuster, produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura.
Destro, for the uninitiated, is essentially a cunning, Scottish arms dealer who is constantly clashing with the Joe team as well as COBRA. His most distinctive feature is his silver battle mask which has been passed down from father to son for centuries. He is also in love with the Baroness.
Murray hasn't received much attention outside of the theater world, but he's had minor roles in such films as Batman Begins (as "Jumpy Thug"), King Arthur, and The Honeymooners. Want to know more about the man who's going to either bring back fond memories or ruin your childhood? Fortunately, he's posted a detailed resume on IMDb that you can view here.
