Written by David Morgan

Stocky, 84 year-old character actor Charles Durning (Dog Day Afternoon, The Sting, Scarface) has been cast in the Isle of Man-funded comedy A Bunch of Amateurs, opposite Burt Reynolds. According to Variety, Durning will play "a sleazy Hollywood agent who tricks his client, a fading action star played by Burt Reynolds, into traveling to England to play King Lear in an amateur charity production."

Filming begins on February 2nd under the direction of Andy Cadiff (The War at Home, My Wife and Kids) and produced by David Parfitt of Trademark Films.

Reynolds and Durning have appeared in several movies together, and in fact it was Reynolds who presented Durning with his SAG lifetime achievement award on Sunday.
