Moon Bloodgood in for "Terminator Salvation"

Moon Bloodgood, actress and suspected vampire, is in negotiations to join the cast of McG's "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins." The Hollywood Reporter describes her role as "the female lead" and that of a "no-nonsense and battle-hardened member of the resistance."

She joins a cast that already includes Christian Bale as the heroic John Connor, Sam Worthington as someone named Marcus, and Anton Yelchin as the young Kyle Reese. Bloodgood's most recent work, aside from prowling the night seeking sweet crimson vein-fluid, was her role on the short-lived NBC drama "Journeyman."

David Campbell Wilson, John Brancato, and Michael Ferris wrote the screenplay. Principal photography is set to begin May 5, with a release date expected sometime during summer 2009.
