In anticipation of the first teaser trailer for J.J. Abrams' Star Trek, which is due to show in front of Cloverfield this weekend and appear online on Monday, our very first look at the brand new U.S.S. Enterprise has arrived. Thanks to Moviefone, we have a very high resolution look at the new ship, which is the first officially released photo from Star Trek at all. I'm sure a couple of hardcore Star Trek fans will get a good shiver down their spine with this photo.

Star Trek is directed by J.J. Abrams (of "Lost" and Mission: Impossible III) and written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (of The Island, Mission: Impossible III, Transformers). The film is the 11th movie in the Star Trek universe. Star Trek arrives in theaters on Christmas Day - December 25th, 2008.
