Amalric Confirmed for Bond 22, Wright Will Play Felix Again - SendMeRSS

Written by David Morgan

Mathieu Amalric, who most recently appeared as a paralyzed man in Julian Schnabel's The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, will play the as yet unnamed villain of Bond 22. Word of this was circling the Net about a month ago, but now Variety has confirmed it. Amalric also appeared in Steven Spielberg's Munich with his new co-star Daniel Craig.

Variety also mentions that Jeffrey Wright (Syriana, The Manchurian Candidate) will reprise his role from Casino Royale of CIA agent Felix Leiter. Bond fans know that this is something of a small milestone, as no actor has played Felix in more than a single film.

Plot details of this 22nd Bond film have been scarce. All we know is that it picks up almost exactly where Casino Royale left off and that director Marc Forster is looking to delve deeper into 007's psyche.
