James Gandolfini Gets Sexual Healing - SendMeRSS

Marvin Gaye, What's Going OnIt looks like the tragic tale of Marvin Gaye will be spun into a biopic about his life. We get the scoop thanks to our friends at comingsoon:

James Gandolfini will join Jesse L. Martin in the indie feature Sexual Healing, which chronicles the last years of singer Marvin Gaye’s life, says Variety.

Lauren Goodman will direct from a screenplay she based loosely on Steven Turner’s book “Trouble Man.” The story covers the life of Gaye (Martin) from his parting with Motown to his self-imposed exile in Europe and will include his relationship with Freddy Cousaert (Gandolfini), the promoter who guided the singer through the recording of his biggest-selling album, “Midnight Love.”

This dude had some legendary jams and he was killed by his own father. If a movie didn’t get made about him it would be a crime against the art of storytelling. I do not know enough about motown, and I want to remedy that. It will be interesting to follow the progress of this picture, my hope is that it will get a wide release but we will have to wait and see. In the meantime, Ladies and Gentleman I would like to introduce you to the legendary Marvin Gaye:

I'm so happy this movie's finally getting made. It was announced after the "Rent" film was released in 2005 and people not familiar with Jesse L. Martin's musical ability quickly signed him on. He's absolutely perfect for the role, and I just can't wait.
