First Look: Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan in Eagle Eye - SendMeRSS

Eagle Eye

Normally we're not one to post video from Access Hollywood, but this was too good to pass up. Last June we announced that Shia LaBeouf and D.J. Caruso would be teaming up again for another movie after Disturbia. Caruso directed and Shia starred in Disturbia and now the two were going to work together again on a film titled Eagle Eye. The plot is described as: a young slacker and a single mom get tangled up in a terrorist cell plotting a political assassination. Beyond that, we were only hearing bits and pieces about what the movie would actually be about. This first on-set video from Eagle Eye shows us a lot more - and damn does it actually look awesome!

The video comes from Access Hollywood (via WorstPreviews) and shows Eagle Eye's two stars, Shia LaBeouf and Michelle Monaghan, in a couple of scenes. If you're hesitant on watching it still, one of the scenes involves a couple of shotguns, the other involves a chase in the airport's luggage room.

Check out that car crash near the beginning, too! I'm amazed they're doing all of that practically. The rest of the video looked pretty incredible and now that we have a solid idea of what to expect, I'm very excited. At first I was thinking that Eagle Eye would be a milder "24", something involving confusion with a terrorist organization. But after Disturbia I knew that D.J. Caruso and Shia would deliver something awesome, I just wasn't sure what. Now this video certainly explains it and I'm very anxious to see what other scenes they've shot.

Eagle Eye is directed by D.J. Caruso of The Salton Sea, "The Shield", and Disturbia. The story was originally written by Steven Spielberg, but the script was put together by a handful of writers. Eagle Eye arrives in theaters on August 8th this year.

Hell. No. Although, out of the maturing former Disney Channel stars, he is by far my favorite. I do understand your dilhema though, and I was kind of trying to tell a joke, but after reading it, I do realize it came off a little abbrasive. One thing that I can safely say though is, off the top of my head, I cant think of one movie of his I enjoyed. And in every movie where he isnt the star, he seems to stick out like a sore thumb. A really bad sore thumb (mainly referring to I, Robot and Constantine) What's your opinion of the guy?

Well, he is in a lot of big films and is currently the "hot topic" at the moment because of the new Indiana Jones trailer. He may be seen a lot this week, but during the rest of the year only comes up randomly when any of his big movies are mentioned. He's currently the hot, young actor in Hollywood, so what can I say? You don't like him much?

Seriously, this is like the third Shia LaBueff article in a row.

Looks awesome, not great but fun like "Disturbia" and enjoyable.
