Henry Cavill of Showtime's The Tudors has been cast in Woody Allen's next untitled romantic comedy. It seems like only yesterday Allen was shooting Vicky Cristina Barcelona in Spain, but already production has begun for this next film in Queens. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cavill "plays a man who is set up with Evan Rachel Wood's character by her mother. Larry David also stars as Wood's love interest." Yes, 59-year-old Larry David and 19-year-old Evan Rachel Wood. *shudder*
The script, penned by Allen, is being kept under wraps. Allen also is co-starring and directing the Wild Bunch-funded film. His sister, Letty Aronson, and Stephen Tenenbaum are producing.
When Woody's art imitates his own life this much, it makes me worried that his getting-away-with-murder movies are based on real experiences, too.
