Brad Pitt’s Artificial Aging In ‘Benjamin Button’ Will Amaze, Says Tilda Swinton

Brad PittBenjamin Button, the titular hero of David Fincher’s adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s short story of the same name, has a rare condition which forces him to age backwards.

Thank goodness, then, that our technology goes in the “right” direction, “Benjamin Button” co-star Tilda Swinton said – or else there’d be no Benjamin Button at all.

“The programs they developed for that are just going to blow everything out of the water,” the recent Oscar-winner gushed of the technology involved in aging and de-aging star Brad Pitt, who will play Button throughout the nearly 80 years of his life. “I think it’s going to be extraordinary.”

The film, which Swinton calls “an omnibus of Button’s life,” may have borrowed more than just a plot from Fitzgerald’s short story. It may have borrowed the form as well, Swinton said.

“There are about eight sections and I’m one of them. I’m his first love in the 30s in Russia,” the actress explained. “What’s fascinating is we were all in these little films and they’ll all be put together [like an anthology].”

Man, the more I hear about this film, the more and more I can’t wait to see it. Are you as excited as I am about “Benjamin Button”? Sound off below.
