Final SAW V Movie Poster

Saw 5 tagline

Lionsgate has released the final poster for SAW V. The tagline promises “You won’t believe how it ends”. One thing that has been consistent throughout all of the SAW films - they have always ended with a twist, even when it is barely logical.

Saw 5 final poster

In the fifth installment of the SAW franchise, Hoffman is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

Saw V hits theaters on October 24th 2008.

‘Red Sonja’ Director Teases Sequel, Possible Conan Cameo

With the upcoming “Red Sonja” film starring Rose McGowan hitting theaters next year, is it too early to start talking about a possible sequel?

'Red Sonja'

Catching up with director Douglas Aarniokoski, we asked if there were any preliminary thoughts on any follow-ups or other films from the Red Sonja universe of characters, and while Aarniokoski obviously wouldn’t (or quite possibly, couldn’t) elaborate, he did drop some clues. “I mean, if we start to talk about that, I start to give away the third act,” he said. “Yes, let's just say yes. It's definitely got franchise written all over it.” Read More…

Second Max Payne Trailer

Even Bruce Wayne is beginning to think Max Payne will be a sizable hit and worth seeing. A new theatrical trailer for Fox’s video game adaptation contains even more shots of the hypnotic angels-of-death that continue to puzzle the games’ followers.

Max Payne movie

We learn herein that the winged beings are referred to as “valkyries,” and reward people who “die in violence.” Clarification, meh. Backed by the vocals of Marilyn Manson, the new trailer better emphasizes a brooding, escalatory tone that plays the right notes of fanboy nihilism. Also present are the high-charged visuals that wowed our staff at Comic Con. For a PG-13 video game gun-porn flick with many doubters, my latest impression? For what it is, Max Payne clicked.

Current comparisons online to the R-rated, totally cheeseball Hitman are predictable and warranted, but the confidence expressed in the press by Mark Wahlberg and John Moore—once attached to X3—doesn’t seem like a contractual shill-routine to me. This trailer’s vague mix of occult imagery and organized crime recalls past genre fare like The Crow and middling efforts like End of Days, and Constantine, but there’s also the sense that TDK’s rating boundary-pushing was a real inspiration. And, c’mon, Mila Kunis firing a machine gun is equal doses ridiculous and hormone-tickling. I hereby move my chips over from Punisher: War Zone to Max Payne; admittedly, this is not a major gamble, but Payne does feature Ludacris in a fedora. Hope I’m right.

Max Payne opens on October 17th.

Discuss: Will Max Payne be a hit? What’s your impression of the final theatrical trailer? Is it cool or stupid or both? Are the valkyries symbolic or real?

Che Poster

We have the poster for Che to show you this afternoon thanks to our friends over at In Contention.

Che Movie

Benicio Del Toro looks pretty bad ass as Che Guevara. I am very interested in seeing this film, it’s scheduled for release sometime in 2008 but no specific date has been locked down. If no one picks it up for distribution, I will have to hunt it down on DVD.

Cher to play Catwoman?

The rumour mill must be getting a little slow and they are just making stuff up to talk about now. The latest: Nolan wants Cher to play Catwoman in a Dark Knight sequel.

Get The Big Picture reports:

The Telegraph cites a “studio executive” who says, “Cher is Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman. He wants to her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years.” The source adds, “The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry’s purring creations.”

I call bullshit right away (as the original article also does) because I just can’t see a 65 year old woman as Catwoman. Yes, Pfeiffer and Berry both had seductive traits, but they were still very different. Pfeiffer can admit she did Catwoman without averting her eyes for starters.

But Cher may have had her sexual appeal to some, she is losing that rapidly no matter how much surgery she endures. Taking the sexual grace out of Catwoman would pervert the concept of the catburglar and conflicting love interest to Batman. This would instantly kibosh the classic tragic love potential for Bale’s younger batman who would be about half her age. So that would be out of the possible storylines. With the strong character driven direction that Nolan has been going in, I would think that he would touch on that.

The scooper also attempts to confirm Johnny Depp being attached however NOT as the Riddler.

Back in the day Matt Damon was the go-to rumour guy. Everytime there was a role up for a guy, every rumour seemed to say Damon. Johnny Depp has become the new Matt Damon.

Everyone wants to see Depp in this, and though I am never opposed to involving Depp in just about anything, I don’t HAVE to see him in everything. Sounds like this rumour is just playing on popular opinion to try and give it some credit.

Nolan hasn’t even officially signed on to the sequel and no script has been written. So it is not even known what villain will be used.

Toy Story 3 Poster

We have the new poster for Toy Story 3 for you guys to check out. Thanks to moviesonline for the hookup.

Poster Toystory3

I liked the first two Toy Story films, but am very excited to see the third in 3-D. I suspect this sort of animation will be outstanding for the 3-D film experience, and I look forward to being part of it.

Dragonball Movie to be Cancelled?

It seems the much talked about Dragonball Movie might just be getting more than questionable looks from the big wigs at Fox. They might can it!

FilmJunk tips us off:

According to our tipster, the higher-ups at Fox are not too impressed the footage that has been shot thus far, and are seriously debating shutting the whole thing down. Now I have no idea if this is a real possibility or if the studio is just putting pressure on director James Wong to deliver, but the movie supposedly has a budget of over $100 million and I can understand them wanting to cut some losses while they still can.

With no presence at Comic Con, the fans were REALLY starting to wonder what was happening with this film.

Some really wanted to see it happen. Others were determined to hate it no matter what you said about it. But it seems it wasn’t the fans at all that are making Fox reconsider. Early footage just doesn’t look good.

I personally don’t think Dragonball has THAT big of a fanbase that it would break the bank if the hardcore fans didn’t go see it. If anything if the promotional material made it look good they would draw in some Dragonball fans to see this non-canon adaptation, but more importantly they would hook much of the audience that just likes to see a good action flick with some supernatural martial arts in it.

But when the guys on the inside are not happy and are willing to consider throwing away their initial investment on it you KNOW it has to be bad. Or at very least this is the message people are going to get.

But remember, this is rumour. We will have to see if there ever will be a Dragonball movie after all.

X-Files 3 Direct to DVD

The rule of thumb with the Hollywood Machine is that if a movie makes a lot of money they make a sequel. If it bombs, they wont (but sometimes they try anyways) but if it sits somewhere comfy in the middle, we get a Direct to DVD money grab.

Well it seems an X-Files 3: I Want to sell more movies, is being considered - direct to DVD.

Movieweb says:

Dread Central received word from an insider that plans are in motion for a third X-Files film, although it would probably go straight to the video shelves.

I was never a big X-Files fan and never got sucked into that show. However I do know a pile of people who were, and even they didn’t even bother with X-Files 2.

So is there enough interest in this to justify a third movie? Is the newly hot again Gillian Anderson that hard up for work?

Would you be into an X-Files 3?

User comment:
X-Files 2 just wasn't the movie that X-Files fans wanted to see it wasn't shitty by any means and while I won't go as far as to say that it was anything that good I will say that it was decent and it's problem is that it comes off more like episode rather than a film. That's the problem with X-Files 2 is that it's more or less another episode rather than something epic that couldn't be done on TV and it needed to be a movie. I still think an X-Files 3 would work and be fairly successful but it needs to be a grand story and not another story that's something that could have been told via TV.
User comment:
I loved X-Files 2. Sure, it wasn't AS good as it could have been, but I still enjoyed what we got. I'll look forward to a third movie, no matter the medium it's released in.
User comment:
I'll be okay with an X-Files 3. But seeing as I haven't seen the movie X-files 2 yet, which many people say was too little too late, I think I'll pass on making any sort of judgment on X-Files 3.
User comment:
The movie was well done, sorry if there weren't enough special effects for the legion of fanboys. Anyone with any knowledge of the "stand-alone" eps appreciate what Carter and Co. put out on a $30 million budget! It fell into the category of "Quiet Horror" by the way....Charles Grant, H.P. Lovecraft, Clark Ashton Smith, Bentley Little, etc... Hammer films wrote the book on doing a lot with less ("Horror of Dracula, etc...) The Hulk had a huge budget and although I did like it I felt something was off a little, same for Indy 4. The film dealt with serious issues that don't lend themselves to elaborate effects-driven product. If the next one is a Direct-to-DVD I'll check it out.
User comment:
I thought it was a good movie but it was very dark. It certainly wasn't a summer movie and I think it would have done far better with a winter or late fall release.
User comment:
I would be in support of some direct-to-DVD sequels. It isn't hard to imagine those becoming popular. They should have been doing those for years now! The X-Files DVD seasons still sell pretty well so I figure this would be a good movie in resurrecting the fan base and maybe even bringing in some new fans!
User comment:
Well, I don't know what the hell Carter has been thinking about with this series for some time....maybe $ I loved the show, but it ran too long. The last two seasons were really not that great, they should have ended the series when Duchovny wanted to quit. I think this movie is really just an extension of that, Ididn't hate it, but it wasn't good. It kinda' reminds me of Murder She Wrote now that Mulder and Scully are outside the FBI. I guess they will travel from town to town investigating "the Darkness" I guess if you think about it, minus millenium, everything else Carter has done has not been very good, neat ideas suffering from bad scripts...too bad I had high hopes.

Monsters Vs Aliens Trailer

I get nervous whenever I hear about an animated film these days that isn’t produced by Pixar, and the upcoming “Monsters Vs. Aliens” is no exception.

A lot of people and websites have been anxiously awaiting this one, but I personally always thought it looked blah. Well, looks like a version of the Monsters Vs. Aliens trailer has leaked out onto the web, and I’ve got to admit I think it looks really funny. Check it out:

As our friends at Cinematical point out, the film stars the voices of “Stephen Colbert as the President and Keifer Sutherland as General W.R. Monger, not to mention other voices by Will Arnett, Seth Rogen, Rainn Wilson, Hugh Laurie, and Paul Rudd.”

Vin Diesel Directing Fast and the Furious Prequel

Vin Diesel revealed that he is directing a 20-minute prequel to the fourth Fast and the Furious movie.

Fast and the Furious prequel

Diesel will also star in the prequel alongside Michelle Rodriguez and Sung Kang. No word on how this will connect, if at all, with the earlier films or where it will be released. Maybe it will be included on a DVD re-release of “the original trilogy”.

Chances are it can’t be worse than 2 Fast 2 Furious. This isn’t Diesel’s first time in the director’s chair. He helmed and starred in a short film titled Strays, that was shown during the 1997 Sundance Film Festival. Steven Spielberg saw the short and decided to cast the actor in Saving Private Ryan, jump-starting his career. He tried his hand at directing one more time in a low-budget 1999 short film titled Multi-Facial.

Diesel has since tried his hand at producing, at at one point was announced to helm and star in Hannibal the Conqueror, about the Carthaginian general who led an elephant-riding battalion across the Alps to attack Rome in the 3rd Century B.C. Justin Lin’s Fast and Furious hits theaters on June 5th 2009.

The Dark Knight Beats Star Wars: Clone Wars and A New Hope

As expected, The Dark Knight was dethroned at the Box Office this weekend, after five weeks on top. Tropic Thunder won the weekend with an estimated $26 million ($37 million 5-day total).

The Dark Knight Beats Star Wars

But here is where the unexpected thing happened - The Dark Knight beat Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which was projected to take the #2 spot on the weekend charts. The latest Star Wars film only made $15.5 million over the three days, a million or two less than The Dark Knight. And what’s worse is, Steve Mason is saying that the animated adventure might not even reach $40 million domestically. This is the first big Star Wars theatrical failure. And by failure, I mean it was still profitable. With anything Star Wars, it’s hard to lost money after merchandising, dvd and tv sales. But it will definitely be considered a failure within the Industry. But not only did The Clone Wars fall to the Cape Crusader, but also the original Lucas sci-fi film Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.

The film overtook Jaws to become the highest grossing film of all time. Then E.T. came and knocked the movie off the top spot. Jurassic Park and Forrest Gump knocked the film further down the all-time list to #4. But in 1997, Lucas rereleased the movie as part of the Special Edition trilogy release, which put A New Hope back on top of the list. But not for long, Titanic came later that year and knocked Star Wars back to the #2 slot, where it has remained until now. That’s right, The Dark Knight has just overtaken Star Wars to become the second highest grossing film of all time (domestically). Of course, this doesn’t take inflation into account. The Dark Knight will end the weekend with an estimated $16.8 million, bring the film’s domestic total to $471.5 million.

Analysts project The Dark Knight to finish around $525 million, about $75 million short of Titanic’s record. And Star Wars fanboys shouldn’t worry too much. When George Lucas eventually releases the original Star Wars trilogy in 3D, A New Hope will probably be back on top once again.

Brian Austin Green to be The Riddler in Batman 3?

Former Tori Spelling deflowerer, turntable spinner and current Terminator TV star, Brian Austin Green, has thrown his hat (sideways baseball cap?) into the casting ring for Batman 3

The new Riddler?The Riddler

B.A.G. was wowed by Heath Ledger’s performance in The Dark Knight and feels deep down he’s the right thespian to play The Riddler in the next installment...

"I would love to be the Riddler,” Green told MTV in all seriousness. “I hope to God they don’t replace Heath and have the Joker [again]. So they need a new villain and The Riddler makes sense. …[My Riddler] would take years of preparation. It’s tough. Heath set the bar a new level.”

How do our readers feel about this? Put your love of 90210 aside and be honest. I mean, on one hand, fanboy favorites Johnny Depp or Hugo Weaving could wash away Jim Carrey’s annoying red hair and green nylon body suit, but on the deformed other, Brian Austin Green made One Stop Carnival, one of the indisputable white rapper masterpieces of the ’90s. Riddle me this? How many babysitters had their beloved copies thrown into the woods? Plus, B.A.G.’s last name is a big qualification for the role, and so is “I bang Megan Fox.” Brian Austin Green, the actor, the question, the joke.

Carla Gugino Calls "Watchmen" Rape Scene Brutal

Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Carla Gugino in Watchmen

Sure, lots of comic book movies have people dying, people killing, people even setting fire to other living people (we're looking at you Chris Nolan. Don't think we're fooled cause you cut away). But how many comic movies are bold enough to show a rape?

None, of course — at least not until "Watchmen", which will keep a violent scene of sexual assault from the comic intact, co-star Carla Gugino told MTV News. "It was really brutal. It was brutal to shoot," Gugino said of the scene, in which the Comedian (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) attacks an young Sally Jupiter, who only manages to avoid getting raped by the timely intervention of fellow mask Hooded Justice.

Iron Man Deleted Scene Fills Plot Hole

Iron Man will be released on DVD/Blu-ray next month, and one of the deleted scenes has been released via Access Hollywood. The three-and-a-half minute sequence shows what happens when Tony Stark wants to throw a last minute party at his house in Dubai.

Iron Man DVD

This sequence gives an answer to a plot hole some had, because Stark can’t fly from California to the Middle East in the suit, as it would be technologically impossible. There is also a cameo from Ghostface Killah. For those who don’t know, the members of Wu Tang are supposedly big comic book fans, and one of Ghostface Killah’s aliases is “Iron Man” and sometimes “Tony Stark”. The scene also provides Stark with an alibi for his work in the Middle East incident. Essentially, this is the yacht scene from The Dark Knight, but not done as well. But at the end of the day, like most deleted scenes, you can easily see why it was cut.

Dark Knight Sequel Poster

Wonderful poster for a proposed sequel to the Dark Knight.

This poster IS viral marketing at its best. Creative and fun - hints without spoiling and gets you excited. You will tell all your friends about this poster.

And how do I know its good viral? It’s not real. This is not a studio ploy to feed us ad after ad for this film and calling it “viral”. It is a fan made poster and I tip my hat to whoever it is out there who put this out. Word is all over the net saying it was a teaser for the next film (fan speculation says Riddler is a logical step for the next film) and this is as professional looking and well thought out as any studio exec could hope for.

Hell, just throw some money at the genius that put this gem together and start writing the script now. I’m in!

Britney Spears To Play Killer Lesbian Stripper In Quentin Tarantino Remake?

Britney Spears

There are a lot of roles we could see Britney Spears playing in remakes of classic movies that should never be remade, like Molly Ringwald’s snooty character in “The Breakfast Club” or even the Natalie Wood slot in “Rebel Without a Cause.” Some might quibble that Russ Meyer’s 1965 cult-classic jiggle-fest “Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!” is not on par with those cinema icons (though plenty would argue otherwise, including yours truly). But there’s a longstanding rumor that just won’t go away that says Quentin Tarantino is excited about the prospect of casting Spears in his remake of “Pussycat.” Let’s just say we’re not lining up for tickets just yet.

See, Tarantino is currently occupied with his work on a re-imagining of “The Dirty Dozen” called “Inglorious Bastards” — other projects aren’t likely to be high on his list of priorities for a couple of years. On top of that, when MTV News reporter Larry Carroll asked the director about the remake at Sundance, he responded, “That’s complete bullsh–.”

Still, the rumor lives on in the tabloids. According to England’s Daily Telegraph, [LINK Daily Telegraph TO http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/celebritynews/2509196/Britney-Spears-to-play-lesbian-killer-in-Quentin-Tarantino-film] Tarantino has reportedly zeroed in on Spears to play killer lesbian stripper Varla (famously played by the ultra-busty Tura Satana in the original) in the touching tale of three Sapphic pole dancers who go wilding in the desert and hold a woman hostage as they try to separate an old man from his cash.

As Varla, Spears would murder the woman’s boyfriend and “have sex scenes with another girls before the drama ends in a bloodbath,” the Telegraph reports. It also reports that Tarantino is in discussions with unnamed Hollywood stars to take the roles of the other two strippers.

“Quentin is convinced Britney will be brilliant. She’s delighted. She thinks it could turn her career around,” an unnamed source told the paper. “It is perfect Tarantino material. He wanted to get Britney first. She’s playing the most important character.”

Aside from a single starring role in the 2002 flop “Crossroads,” cameos in “Austin Powers: Goldmember” and “Longshot,” and a two-episode arc on “How I Met Your Mother” last season, Spears’ acting résumé is a bit thin, to say the least. That, of course, is not a problem if you’ve ever seen the original.

But given her attempts to get her career, and life, back on track over the past six months by leaving her tabloid exploits behind, hooking up with Tarantino for this role would be an odd choice. Then again, given the long lead time on most Tarantino projects, by the time it actually starts filming — if it actually starts filming — she just might be on top again, and it wouldn’t really matter.

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in Talks for Lethal Weapon 5

Right now, Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are rolling around in separate beds half-asleep mumbling, “We’re too old for this shit.” Let’s hope their co-stars Chris Rock, Joe Pesci and Jet Li are mumbling the exact same sentence tomorrow when they’re fully awake.

Lethal Weapon 5

It’s being reported by TrackingB that legendary screenwriter, Shane Black, has written a script for Lethal Weapon 5 and handed it over to his friend, the franchise’s producer Joel Silver. Moreover, the guys pictured above are said to be interested in reprising their roles as LAPD badges Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh. Coming Soon posted the following logline…

This time, homicidal Riggs (Mel Gibson) is about to retire, but pulls Murtaugh (Danny Glover) out of retirement to solve one final case, before they both officially head off into the sunset.

No further info was made available. Some readers will take issue with the adjective “legendary” used above but seeing that Black’s influence on the action genre, which dates back to 1987’s Lethal Weapon, remains obvious with this weekend’s Pineapple Express, why? From my standpoint, Seth Rogen’s pot vehicle would have been the action-comedy masterpiece some feel it is (CHUD says Oscar-bait no less!?) with Black’s involvement. For example: imagine memorable, superior one-liners rather than Axl Rose lyrics yelled mid-brawl in 2008. A bloodied Danny McBride meets The Last Boy Scout? Now, that’s a neverending breakfast conversation I’d pay to see three times.

The fourth Lethal Weapon film was released 10 years ago and managed to gross $128 million domestically. One could forsee Richard Donner returning as the director, since he helmed the prior four pictures and has a film on the burner entitled Sam and George with Gibson.

Discuss: Would you see a fifth Lethal Weapon with the original team? Either way, do you expect Shane Black’s involvement to make for a better sequel than Live Free or Die Hard, or Beverly Hills Cop: Ratner Vision?

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Review

Mummy 3Thanks for checking out our The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor Review!

The General Idea

Plot Synopsis Via IMDB: In the Far East, trouble-seeking father-and-son duo Rick and Alex O’Connell unearth the mummy of the first Emperor of Qin — a shape-shifting entity who was cursed by a wizard centuries ago.

The Good

The costuming in the film was outstanding. From the armor worn by the army of the Dragon Emporer to the tailored period garb of the late 1930’s - everything looked sharp. I appreciate the detail that goes into costuming and feel that it not only sets a better mood for the film; it usually assists those involved with “getting into character”.

I have disliked the special effects in the previous Mummy films, but this film marked a noted improvement. The detailed “cracking” that took place on the terracotta army was outstanding. Whenever they would move, a crack would appear revealing a molten core (for but a second); and then heal over again. I was also impressed by the 3-Headed dragon in the film. I am a sucker for dragons, and this one looked fantastic.

The Bad

The dialogue in the film was very bad. It took me out of the story on multiple occasions. I know action films aren’t necessarily held to the same standard as dramas when it comes to dialogue, but it was so soaked with cheese that my eye-sockets were blistered from the amount of times that I rolled my eyes. Even the one-liners excelled at how unbelievably lame they were. It made me appreciate the work of Schwarzenegger with a new found respect - and that is the truth.

The story plods along in an unbelievable fashion. Interactions between the characters made less sense than undead legions rising from the grave. I understand that with a film like this you need to suspend disbelief. But within the world the players still need to adhere to a set of boundaries so the illusion of danger and tension are created in the audience member. This film disregarded all logic and sense within it’s own universe and became cartoonish in its execution.

At 120 minutes, not only was this film bad, but it was bad for longer than it needed to be. I will not say that this film would have benefitted from a cut, it just would’ve made everyone a bit happier.

Overall

This is a lackluster action adventure film that has an awkward story, delivered in a peculiar manner. I wouldn’t recommend this film and out of 10 - I give it a 3.

Watchmen: Posters and more

With the way they are promoting this movie right now, you would think that the Watchmen was coming out next month instead of next year.

Watchmen is the next movie coming to us from the mind of Zack Snyder. Fans of 300 will remember him. The movie is set for a March 2009 release date, but this week we’ve seen a lot come out from the side of the Watchmen.

First there was posters released at Comic Con. Eight posters to be exact. First Showing had those, and these look really great. Next, Empire decided to jump into the game. They released some new pictures just this week. Today the news is that My Chemical Romance is doing a Bob Dylan cover for the movie’s soundtrack. Take a look at the posters and images below. Dragonball Pics - Goku, Chi-Chi and Mai

I’ve already said it many times, but I’ll say it again anyway… Dragonball is the next Speed Racer. A property whose current popularity and potential audience is being drastically overestimated with source material that does not lend itself to becoming a decent live action movie. This movie will tank.

Having said that… damn I’d take “Mai” to dinner anywhere she wanted to go and whenever she’d agree to be seen in public with me (which probably means never). Thanks to Jarred for the pics. There is a water mark on the images, but I can’t find a corresponding site. If you know where they came from, please drop me a note and let me know.

User comment:
I still think they should of made a Dragonball Z movie instead of a Dragonball one. Goku looks the age he was at the very end of the Dragonball series. Only the first trailer can help predict how it will do.
User comment:
Oh, and all of what I wrote above is assuming they get an R rating, like the director wants. I'm sure DBZ will be the next one, and it would make sense, because no matter what rating they got for that, people will go see it just for Vegeta, and seeing him kill some people...like always.
User comment:
Let me begin by saying that I'm not a big fan of Dragonball...at all. However, I honestly think the movie will surprise most people as to how good it will be. The reviews won't be anything amazing and chances are it won't take in a whole lot of money, but if the action is as cheesy and over-the-top as it was in the TV show, then it'll be worth watching. However, I've been hearing how many things they are actually putting in the movie, which might give it a sort of "stretched out" feeling. Judging by the amount of sets and numerous locations where they filmed, I assume they have a pretty decent budget, so I hope the flying and jumping will be done well. I'm actually surprised at how well the casting was done, Goku and Bulma especially. They look pretty much how they would look if the cartoon was brought to real life without using wigs. Chi-chi looks a bit odd, but it'll work, and I don't remember Mai, but she's delicious. I have faith in this movie being better than the new Punisher or the new Wolverine...hopefully I'm right, that way everybody wins.
User comment:
Dragonball is not really for kids it was censored in north america for its pervesion, violence and language. but the original japanese uncut version is available on DVD
User comment:
Yeah this is dragonball not dragonball Z, so I am thinking no vegeta, although he was my favorite character of the series as well. The pictures of goku in this dont seem to show the true character of goku, who is an always smiling never take anything seriously kid who kicks the crap out of everything. This guy playing him just looks relaly serious, even though that is the opposite of the character. We will see though. And I do think dragon ball has a bigger following than speed racer, especially considering the asian fans.
User comment:
Dragonball is for kids. Where is my DBZ. When Vagetta his the screen for the first time, I think I'll have a heart attack. I remember once, Goku and friends gave him a pink shirt to wear. And when he puts it on he says, " What is this Karorrot? I am a warrior, not a variety of flower. "My #1 favorite cartoon character.

I keep thinking this will be more along the lines of "Transformers" since it was greenlighted shortly after that movie's success. I'm guessing they're under heavy pressure from the studio to keep it from looking anything like "Speed Racer." I really want to see some footage already. I will agree that they're waging too much on the fanbase for this. Up until we got that Chi-Chi pic just now, there was no indication on the posters that this was even an action movie. It was just people standing around. You spent a $100M on this, Fox - you better sell the premise and not just the faces.

Here's the basic story A monkey-tailed boy named Son Goku is found by an old martial arts expert and raised as his grandson. One day, during a full moon, Goku transforms into a giant ape and accidentally kills his adopted grandfather, but later has no recollection of it. Several years later, Bulma, on a quest to retrieve the seven Dragon Balls and have her wish granted by the dragon that will appear, meets Goku, now living alone with the four-star Dragon Ball that he treats as his dead grandfather. Goku decides to accompany Bulma on her quest, and along the way, meets and befriends many martial artists, undergoes rigorous martial arts training regimes and educational programs, and faces various challengers and villains, often at the Tenka-ichi Budōkai.

we cant tell if this movie will be good or bad just yet- but some people seem to KNOW its going to suck... the only thing we can get out of these pictures is ONE and only one thing...hell be wearing blue instead of brown or orange or red- which is good...but thats it...theres nothing here pointing towards the posibility of it being bad or good. idk where you guys see the "this movie will be bad" sign anywho i like the fact that his pajamas arent red or orange i like the blue look better...
