Sylvester Stallone's newest Rambo sequel didn't manage the top spot at the box office, though only by about $600,000. That distinct honor belongs to Meet the Spartans, the latest patented formula no-laughs comedy by the Friedberg-Seltzer team. The only other new wide release this weekend was the mostly dismissed cyber-thriller Untraceable starring Diane Lane which landed in fifth and made $11.2 million. Looks like late January is living up to its "bad movie dumping ground" reputation.
